placeholder

The whole world came to stand still after the outbreak of pandemic. Covid- 19 has affected the lives of every human being irrespective of age, gender, social and economic status. All age groups had been infected from Covid. Till last year only people of 18 years of age and above had the access to Covid vaccination. From 3rd of January, 2022 Covid vaccine has been made accessible to children of the age group 15 to 17 years also. VaccineOnWheels is dedicated to vaccinate people of all age groups especially to the underprivileged and the unreached. We are also organizing vaccination camps at schools and junior colleges to make vaccine accessible to the children of 15 to 17 years of age.

One of our unit operating in Arakkonam located in Ranipet district of Tamil Nadu organized a Covid vaccination camp in Government School, GRpet for the students of 15 to 17 years of age. One of the student of 10th standard named Lithesh Kumar complained of feeling giddy after getting vaccinated. Our team members immediately checked his vitals and gave him oral rehydration solution (ORS) to drink. After drinking ORS and resting for few minutes he told that he was feeling well. Our team checked his vitals again and everything was recorded normal.

It is important to be more careful while administering vaccination to children as they become anxious. Our teams are well equipped with AEFI kit for emergency situations. In case of emergency our teams also have ambulance to take the beneficiary to the nearest hospital. We are grateful to all our partners for supporting us to administer vaccination to people safely with all the emergency requirements.
